About the Position:

As a SBA Servicing and Portfolio Specialist you will be the face of customer service to our growing portfolio. You will also coordinate with the SBA closers, Credit Administration, Loan Operations, and customers on servicing request transactions including but not limited to annual reviews, payoff’s, and loan booking. You will also be responsible for remaining current on SBA SOP regulations, all lender policies and procedures, and all applicable state and federal banking regulations.

What You Will Do:

• Monitor, manage, and respond to all customer inquiries
• Report, research, and reconcile 1502 reporting
• Perform all aspects of loan booking, funding, billing and servicing SBA 7a Loan Originations
• Set up and maintain financial and insurance ticklers post-close
• Review and analyze financial packages for completeness, SBA program eligibility and creditworthiness and follow the credit through its life cycle
• Apply state of the art technologies to support best in class service
• Ensure that all servicing activities and work functions follow compliance requirements and SBA regulations
• Maintain knowledge of all applicable Exos Small Business Lending policies and procedures
• Demonstrate and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the SBA SOP as well as Servicing and Liquidation Lender Matrix
• Prepare all loan documentation for various types of servicing actions
• Perfect collateral position and review insurance documents to ensure proper type/coverage
• Review for and prepare recommendations to correct errors that could potentially put the Lender at risk for losing an SBA guaranty or obtaining penalties
• Perform other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum of five years of experience in SBA loan servicing and monitoring.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or other acceptable related experience; relevant work and experience with SBA lending will be considered.
• Strong financial analysis skills, with extraordinary attention to detail
• Strong knowledge of all required financial and collateral documentation for various loan types
• Knowledge of various legal entity borrowing structures such a Limited Liability Companies, Corporations, Partnerships, Tenant in Common structures, etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Interpersonal skills to interact positively and effectively with all levels of employees, management, and third parties
• Possess excellent multi-tasking skills
• Capability of working effectively under limited supervision
• Ability to identify issues and opportunities and explore solutions
• Ability to create and maintain a positive and cohesive teamwork environment
• Ability to meet strict timelines and service level agreements
• Strong PC skills required along with an ability to quickly learn new systems

Additional helpful skills:

• Experience with PCFS (Loan Manager)
• Experience with Spark
• Demonstrate strong credit underwriting skills by producing clear, correct, concise and thorough Servicing Request
