SBA Audit & Servicing Specialist

We are a growing non-bank lender in the SBA 7(a) market. We are in communities throughout the United States. This is fully Remote Opportunity.

The SBA Audit & Servicing Specialist will have proven experience reviewing a 7(a) portfolio.

This position will perform post close audit reviews including but not limited to booking, funding, modifications, defaults and maintenance on SBA loans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the SBA SOP as well as Servicing and Liquidation Lender Matrix
  • Understand all aspects of SBA 7a loan documentation and loan file requirements
  • Perform post close loan file, booking, disbursements and maintenance audits for all closed loans
  • Maintain knowledge of all applicable company policies and procedures
  • Provide back up for loan servicing responsibilities
  • Contribute to the company’s overall production, portfolio performance and reputation while striving to meet or exceed individual goals
  • Ensure that all activities and work functions follow compliance requirements and SBA regulations
  • Understand what differentiates our company from our competitors and demonstrate our unique approach to small business lending in all aspects of their work with borrowers, colleagues and partners

Additional helpful skills

  • Review and analyze financial packages for completeness, SBA program eligibility and creditworthiness and follow the credit through its life cycle
  • Demonstrate strong credit underwriting skills by producing clear, correct, concise and thorough Servicing Request

 Minimum Job Requirements

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities necessary.  

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or other acceptable related experience
  • Minimum 5 years SBA 7(a) loan operations experience
  • Maintain confidentiality of company and client information
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Proficiency with personal computers and software applications
  • Minimal travel requirements
